Fast & Inexpensive Junk & Trash Removal Services: How to Find a Service Near You

Junk & Trash Removal Services in the US

Moving soon? Looked out the window and realized just how much stuff you have that you don’t need? Not sure what to do with all that junk?

You have options! From full services that will sort through what they can donate and recycle before throwing things out, to bags and dumpsters that you can rent out and fill yourself, there are plenty of services out there that would like to help you with your junk removal.

There are nationwide, statewide and local companies available for all of your trash removal needs. These companies vary in price and services offered, so it’s important to get all of the information before you hire someone. For example, some junk removal companies also offer moving services, and some will match the lower prices of their competitors!

There are also companies that provide shredding services for sensitive documents, and some companies that specialize in hoarding clean up.

Here’s everything you need to know:

What is junk removal?

What the process looks like: You have a couple options. If you choose to rent a dumpster, then the service will drop it off, and then pick it up once you’ve filled it! If you go with a full service option, then they will come in and haul everything away for you!

What the price range is: Full service junk removal can cost anywhere from $100-$800, and dumpster rental can cost anywhere from $300-$600. It’s really going to be based on how much junk you have, and how much you want the service to do for you. Some services want you to pay online when you book, some services don’t require that you have a credit card at all!

What happens to the junk that is removed: This depends on the company! Many companies will try to recycle and/or donate what they can before sending anything to the landfill. Be sure to look on the company’s website to see what their policy is!

Specialized junk removal

Hoarding cleanup: There are some companies who specialize in hoarding cleanup. It’s what they do, and they’ve seen it all, so if the junk removal you’re looking for help with is a result of hoarding, it might be best to go with one of these specialized companies! See our list below for a few options.

Shredding services: Is your trash more sensitive, containing personal information? A shredding service might be what’s best for you. Companies will either loan you a shredder so you can do it all yourself, or they’ll shred the documents for you.
