But fortunately, the medical science world has introduced and brought a great revolution to cope with these issues with proper hygienic treatments. We acknowledge the fact that as we grow older, we become more vulnerable to certain diseases as some diseases are common in senior citizens including:

  1. Arthritis: The most common disease among older people, as they touch the digit 60 of their age, they start feeling pain issues which could be assessed through the swelling of joints. It stops them from staying active and fresh in their daily life routine.
  2. Heart Problems: No one can deny the fact that heart disease is the major cause of death ratio among senior citizens. Certain reasons make the human body at risk and attack the person.
  3. Respiratory Issues: Lungs play a major role in these diseases that show how the outside environment fails the human respiratory function and reduces the inhalation process which stretches the lungs and causes asthma.
  4. Diabetes: This is another common disease among senior citizens that causes higher sugar levels in the human body which disturbs the pattern of daily life due to unusual urination, the excessive need for water, and hunger.
  5. Depression: Human minds are so vulnerable in this post-modern world to all the circumstances that can affect their minds and later they cause psychological disorders, like stressful mind, psychosis, and most severely the loss of memory. This is not a common disease for older but young people are also the victims of it.
  6. Hearing Problems: Age is a major factor in causing this disease. Not only that but people around the world are hugely affected due to the unusual consumption of certain types of food. Gradually, seniors lose their ability to hear properly and then people around them start making of them as well which affects them double.
  7. Dental Diseases: We cannot ignore the reality that dental issues are the most common among senior citizens. As they grow older certain diseases attack them and dental issues also become a part of their lives.

The need of the hour is how we can overcome these diseases to affect senior citizens to spend their older life more actively. There are some fruitful tips to cope with these diseases that can help senior citizens keep themselves healthy and fit.

Consumption of Hygienic Food

The key to a healthy life is the use of healthy food which supports the human body to fight against the most affecting diseases diabetes, heart problems, and arthritis, in senior citizens. Every older citizen should take the responsibility to keep himself active, which is only possible through a proper and portioned diet. They should avoid the excessive use of oil, and desserts, like cakes, sugary beverages, candies, trifles, etc. It is sure that if they control their diet according to the prescription of their doctor, they can easily overcome their usual health issues. Their food intake should be properly planned and they have to manage their vitamins, calcium, and minerals that help their body and mind to work properly. Every senior must keep a check on the consumption of their food that whether they are consuming hygienic food or not because if they avoid and ignore it, they cannot survive a healthy life.

Hydrate the Body

The body of older people is more vulnerable to all diseases because as they grow older, their bodies and mind need more attention and care. To keep the human body fresh and active it is significant to keep it properly hydrated which can resist diseases like pneumonia, heart attacks, and respiratory issues. Just keeping the human body hydrated is not enough but older people should find out whether they are having filtered water with proper minerals in it or not. excessive use of water can also be dangerous to the older body, so it is important to consult the best nutrition that how much water is required and in which water is required to keep an older human body healthy and fit.

Avoid Smoking and Alcoholic Beverages

Smoking is the major weapon against the lungs of the human body that severely affects the proper working of the human body. Older people must leave the habit of smoking if they are active or passive smokers. As smoking is not only dangerous for active smokers but it badly affects passive smokers as well and causes certain diseases, specifically lung issues, and asthma. To have a healthy life and to stay away from common health issues in the older age it is compulsory to prohibit smoking. Smoking is not the only reason to damage the lungs in older bodies but alcohol is more dangerous and should be prohibited because it does not only affect the lungs but causes mental disorders as well as it takes the person to a world of unconsciousness that can badly damage his mental health but can cause accidents as well which can result in the death of the person and fractures of certain bones in the human body. To avoid all these circumstances, one should stay away from the consumption of smoking and alcohol.

Morning Walk

It is written in the scriptures of every religion as well that a morning walk can save the human body from all the diseases in their whole life. We can find the importance of a morning walk and how a person who is habitual to it can fight against all the diseases coming his to live a healthy life. It saves the human body from all diseases but specifically it helps to fight against heart problems. Every senior citizen should make morning walks as part of their habit.
